THESIS

Lasting for 13 days during the October of 1962, the Cuban Missile Crisis has marked American history as one of the country's most dark and fearful times. To many, the end of the world around them became evident as the belief of a nuclear World War Three sat on the horizon. Fortunately, world leaders were able to restore peace but many effects of this event still linger on into today's politics and society. Some of these effects include how realistic nuclear warfare is for the present and future, the remaining tensions between the US and Russia, and the unsteady relations between the US and Cuba.
